Jan and her daughter Rebecca enjoyed a sound therapy session in the comfort of Soderworld's salt cave. As they hung in the cradle chairs from the ceiling, we set a group intention to create a safe, healing vibration.
I used a base binaural tone of 417 Hz, which is a Solfeggio tone believe to help dissolve "crystallized" energetic blockages. I played it on my iPad and played all my instrumentation and vocals over it.
Solfeggio tones use the ancient chant "scale" (do, re, mi, so, fa, la, ti, do) based on Gregorian chants, to "speak" to certain zones of the body, like sonic acupuncture, providing a gentle release.
I shared with Jan and Rebecca that kidney stones can "miraculously" be dissolved using certain ultrasonic technology, effectively pulsing tones at tissue, and that DNA can be repaired under a slide microscope using 528 Hz tones pulsing binaurally, alternating the tone and silence ("woo-woo-woo-woo," the dashes between "woo's" representing the important punctuation of silence). Similarly, in the shamanic tradition, emotional thought pattern "crystallizations" can be dissolved using tones (plus intention!).
The theory in sound healing is that repetitive negative thoughts are like a finger tapping on a lake (analogous in this case to the human body's "body of water") which eventually freezes, like the frozen waves of Lake Michigan, the ripples which comprise the vibration of those thoughts "harden" or crystallize and an energetic blockage along the meridians which can manifest in the form of a pain, an injury, a growth. These patterns, along with methyl gases, combine to create patterns in a person's life: depression, anxiety, fear, worry, as well as physical sickness.
Negative thoughts, like a worried or complaining monologue, have an uneven beat, a cadence to the speech or thought pattern that moves at an uneven beat, an arrhythmic "drumming" that causes stress, like a baby's silent cry in the heart.
Suppressed, left to fester, untended for, these energy patterns can cause chronic stress.
On the other hand, a song, a rhythmic poem, an inspiring speech, all have an even, rhythmic cadence that draws your attention in, tunes your body, and elevates the "body of water," which must now vibrate for a time at the frequency in hertz of the sound source which is tuned to.
Since ancient time, shamanic drumming, rattling, singing, smudging, voice, Native flute, singing bowls, voice, etc. has been used to change energy patterns within the body for a sustained period with the hope of dissolving blockages using specific tones, beats, and intentions.
Left to relax an "bobble," like someone sitting up falling asleep in school, the "bobbling" body relaxes, allowing the sound to move through the tissues, vibrate the water of the body and cells, and provide a healing, rejuvenating experience for everyone.
Jan and Rebecca's session include drumming, tuning forks, singing bowls C#, F#, and G# (throat chakra or energy center, heart chakra, and root chakra, respectively), vocalizations, a large C# wind chime set, Native drum, rattle, and we finished with two songs on the guitar.
Thank you Jan and Rebecca for the healing journey in the salt cave!
I am grateful to have a great place like Soderworld to share with people!
